The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) seeks to recruit a Research Associate II- Data Processing Assistant on behalf of International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) to conduct the Training and support on the breeding management system Enterprise Breeding System(EBS), including the collation, validation, encoding, spot-checking and quality assurance testing, and archiving ensuring compliance to CGIAR, Institute and Platform-specific policies, procedures and guidelines on data management, back up and uploading.
ILRI works to improve food and nutritional security and reduce poverty in developing countries through research for efficient, safe and sustainable use of livestock. It is the only one of 15 CGIAR research centres dedicated entirely to animal agriculture research for the developing world. The position:
The data processing assistant will be a member of the service provider team supporting data management, client reporting and problem resolution. This position will provide high-quality system support to end-users. He/she will also be involved in testing and collaborations with counterparts in the whole CGIAR. He/she will also participate in CG-wide workgroups related to Excellence in Breeding projects.
Key responsibilities:
Timely delivery of set objectives: Helpdesk support and Training of EBS
SOP authoring and compliance monitoring. Take part in creating CGIAR-level Data Management policies
Internal Process: Improved quality and efficiency of performance related to the product, services, or other key business processes
Request and/or generate printed materials for compliance
Customer/Stakeholder: Improved performance from the perspective of the customer or key stakeholders
Enterprise Breeding System (EBS) Development and Data management activities (local and global users)
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor from time to time

Terms of Appointment This position is at job level HG 11. The position is 2 years contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding. ILRI offers a competitive salary and benefits package which includes pension, medical and other insurances
